Gary James Copeland is a nut-case tax protester challenging liability for taxes at hearing on collection. Tax Court allowed the collection and imposed a $1,000 fine. Issued the day after Koenig, this case reverts back to the disrespectful, dismissive, and paranoid-enabling tactic of just stating (correctly) that petitioners arguments are frivolous, but not explaining why. There is also no explanation for pulling the $1,000 penalty out of thin air.
